SoftWear Automation just closed $4.5 million in financing from CTW Venture Partners.

SoftWear Automation is an Atlanta, GA, -based company focused on developing innovative core technologies and products for the apparel manufacturing and sewn products industries using machine vision, robotics, and computing. SoftWear aims to use its technology to lead the conversion of labor-intensive industries to ones that are capital intensive and economical.

In its announcement, the company said the funding will accelerate its development of fully automated sewn goods worklines specifically for apparel production in the United States. The company also plans to add 20 employees to keep pace with growing customer demand.
