Lingokids Raises $4 Million

EdTech startup Lingokids closed $4 million in financing. Three investors participated in the round: Holtzbrinck Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, and JME Venture Capital.

Lingokids is an early English-learning platform that empowers parents with tools they need to provide an immersive and fun playtime experience where learning English happens naturally. Lingokids features original content, as well as premium third-party content from such partners as the Oxford University Press and top educational creators in a variety of formats, ranging from games to video and offline activities. The content is presented by real-live teachers through Lingokids Guides (TM), in which teachers present the lessons and help kids achieve maximum learning results.

According to the company, the new funding allows Lingokids to expand its product offering, grow into new regions, and reach its goal of having 15 million families enjoying its services by 2018.
