Actility announced it has secured $75 million in Series D financing. Five investors participated in the round, including Cisco Investments, BNP Paribas Global Markets, Orange Ventures, and Robert Bosch Venture Capital.

In the M2M (machine to machine) and energy value chain, Actility offers a carrier-grade infrastructure solution for massive scale M2M deployment, with interoperability and security management based on the ETSI M2M Telecom standard. The company also offers a white label app marketplace that allows telecom operators and utilities to open their Internet boxes to downloaded applications for home automation, smart buildings and cars.

According to the company, the funding will enable Actility to roll out industrial IoT solutions with its partners for key verticals, including logistics and supply chain, smart buildings and energy and utilities. It will also be used to accelerate global growth and to make strategic investments to enhance its technology portfolio.
