Fintech Startup Plynk Raises $28 Million

Plynk just closed $28 million in Series A financing. Two investors contributed to the round, among them Swiss Privee Ltd.

Plynk is a European money messaging app that offers instant person-to-person payments. Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, Plynk was co-founded by Charles Dowd and Clive Foley in 2015.

In its announcement, the company said its growth plan is simple: to become a verb in every European language. Plynk will use the funding to expand into new markets as well as to add British pounds to its platform.
