Electronics Startup Cocoon Cam Raises $4 Million

Cocoon Cam announced it has secured $4 million in Series A financing. Two investors contributed to the round, including Happiness Ventures.

Cocoon Cam’s mission is to be the most advanced baby monitor in the world. In addition to offering a video monitor, Cocoon Cam connects to parents’ smartphones or tablets and uses cutting-edge computer vision technology to deliver breathing monitoring, instant alerts, and  sophisticated sleep analytics never previously available for home use.

According to the company, the funding brings Cocoon Cam’s total investment to date to $5 million. The new funding will be used to help the company scale consumer marketing and sales, product development, and engineering.
