Yogome, a Mexico-based education game developer, raised $6.6 million in Series A funding. Investors include Seaya Ventures, Variv Capital, and Endeavor Catalyst.

Yogome develops educational tablet and mobile games to help kids ages 4 to10 learn in a fun way through technology. The multilingual games are developed by pedagogical experts, cover a range of school subjects taught by engaging “Yogotar” characters, and are among the top 10 apps in the Apple App Store’s education category. The company aspires to become a global kids’ brand.

According to reports by TechCrunch, the new funding will be used to help Yogome in its goal to reach one million subscribers and to continue its geographical expansion to China, Korea and Japan.
