On-Demand Contractors Startup Sweeten Secures $1.4 Million

According to an SEC filing, on-demand contractors startup Sweeten has raised $1.4 million in a new round of financing.

Sweeten is an award-winning website that matches homeowners with renovation needs to certified general contractors selected from a carefully screened and curated network. The site currently facilitates more than $300 million in construction projects for thousands of homeowners in the New York City area. Each of the top 10 percent of Sweeten contractors has completed more than $500,000 in Sweeten renovation deals.
