Automat Secures $8.3 Million

Martech startup Automat completed $8 million in Series A financing. Six investors contributed to the round: New York-based You & Mr. Jones Brandtech Ventures, Comcast Ventures, Omidyar Technology Ventures, Relay Ventures, Real Ventures, and USAA Ventures.

Automat helps companies use AI to talk to their customers, understand them, and serve them better. It has developed a conversational marketing platform powered by artificial intelligence to help companies have personalized, one-on-one conversations with every customer.

In its announcement, the company said a large portion of the new funding will be used to support and expand the company’s engineering, research, and product teams to accelerate the development of additional features delivering the most complete conversational marketing cloud platform.
