Security startup Auth0 announced it has raised $30 million in Series C financing. Six investors contributed to the round: Meritech Capital Partners, Bessemer Venture Partners, Trinity Ventures, K9 Ventures, NTT DOCOMO Ventures, and Telstra.

Auth0 is an identity-as-a-service platform that authenticates and authorizes apps and APIs with any identity provider, running on any stack on any device or cloud. The company allows developers to replace in-app authorization code with a call to an easy-to-use cloud service, which is particularly useful in eliminating the pain of dealing with a complex identity environment.

In its announcement, the company said Auth0 will use the funds to expand its geographic footprint and accelerate the growth of its identity platform, with an increased focus on subscriber and talent acquisition.
