Alight Secures $11 Million

Enterprise IT startup Alight announced it has raised $11 million in Series A financing. Three investors participated in the round, among them Caterpillar Venture Capital.

Alight is a fast-growing provider of industry-specific, cloud-based applications that aim to change the way businesses are run. Alight’s vertical, cloud-based applications aim to empower executives in industries, including financial services, mining, and high tech to manage the future by showing the ripple effects of real events and potential decisions across the enterprise. According to the company, by understanding the impact of internal company changes and external market shifts, Alight’s customers can make effective and timely business decisions that optimize financial performance, including making accurate, up-to-the minute forecasts, understanding cash flows and evaluating growth and exit strategies.

The company revealed that the funding will be used to scale up the firm’s mining and mortgage industry verticals.
