Akeso Biomedical completed $4.4 million in financing from an undisclosed investor.
Akeso Biomedical is a food safety company that is developing new solutions for the treatment of bacterial infections using a broad-spectrum iron complex chemistry approach discovered by researchers at the University of Nottingham in the U.K.
The company revealed that it will use some of the new funds to develop manufacturing and global distribution partnerships for Typlex Chelate, a zootechnical gut health stabilizer that inhibits pathogenic bacteria such as clostridium, campylobacter, salmonella and e. coli from adhering to avian gut walls.
