Aera Technology Secures $50 Million

Software startup Aera Technology closed $50 million in financing. Two investors contributed to the round, among them New Enterprise Associates.

Aera delivers technology to enable self-driving vehicles: a cognitive operating system that makes real-time recommendations, predicts outcomes, and takes action autonomously. The technology also helps management of business processes. Aera’s supply chain overview skill, for example, gives supply chain leaders a real-time view of global demand, inventory, supply and shipments. Business users can filter information and drill down into regional details. The tool includes recommendations to improve service levels, reduce transportation cost, and right-size finished goods inventories.
