Wandera Raises $28 Million

Mobile startup Wandera announced the completion of $28 million in Series C financing. Three investors participated in the round: Sapphire Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, and 83North.

Wandera is a pioneer and leading provider of mobile data optimization (MDO), providing businesses with savings, control, and visibility of their mobile data usage. Powered by its proprietary cloud data compression and policy engine, Wandera works transparently for mobile devices wherever they are in the world without changing the user experience.

Wandera plans to use the funding to expand its global footprint and further develop its gateway technologies, in particular its intelligence engine, Miriam, which is designed to identify threats and surface new analytic insights using a blend of machine learning and data science techniques.
