Transportation Data Startup AKUA Has Raised $3 Million

AKUA announced it has raised $3 million in seed financing. Three investors participated in the round: Crosslink Capital, Talis Capital, and Enterprise Partners Venture Capital.

AKUA is a subscription data service delivering secure, real-time business intelligence directly to cargo owners. The company’s IoT platform provides consistent environmental monitoring and tracking solutions for intermodal cargo containers, requiring no new equipment to buy or manage.

In its announcement, the company said the new funding will help advance the development of its secure IoT gateway platform, create greater value for their customers, and accelerate the growth of the company’s logistics and supply chain market.
