Software Startup Gainsight Has Raised $52 Million

Gainsight announced it has secured $52 million in Series E financing. Seven investors contributed to the round, among them Lightspeed Venture Partners, Battery Ventures, and Bain Capital.

Software startup Gainsight, which calls itself the “Customer Success Company,” aims to help businesses grow faster by reducing churn, increasing upsell, and driving customer advocacy. Its software helps companies communicate with customers effectively, track customer health consistently, and orient services around customers.

In its announcement, the company said it intends to use the funding to accelerate expansion of customer success into international markets and new industries and channels.
