Modernizing Medicine Raises $231 Million

Software company Modernizing Medicine announced the close of $231 million in financing. Warburg Pincus was the sole investor in the funding round.

Modernizing Medicine has developed cloud-based Electronic Medical Records (EMR) solutions that aim to make healthcare more efficient. It provides physicians with a library of built-in medical content and adapts to hundreds of practice management systems.

The company plans to use the proceeds to pursue strategic initiatives and improve its product features.
