Software startup Frame just closed $16 million in financing. Four investors participated in the funding, among them Bain Capital Ventures, Microsoft Ventures, and In-Q-Tel.

Frame is a cloud-based platform that gives developers and businesses a single place to manage their Windows apps in the cloud. Its customers range from startups and schools to major enterprises like Adobe. The company claims that its product allows developers to manage apps — even the most demanding software — smoothly right inside Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or IE browsers, with no plugins required.

According to the funding announcement, the company, which has raised a total of $32 million since 2013, will use the funds to accelerate market growth and expand operations.
