Kahoot! Secures $10 Million
Edtech startup Kahoot! announced it has raised $10 million in Series A financing. Four investors contributed to the round, including Microsoft Ventures, Creandum, and Northzone Ventures.
Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that makes it easy to create, discover, play, and share fun learning games in minutes, on any subject, in any language, for any age, and on any device. Focused on the mission of “making learning awesome,” Kahoot!’s free, game-based platform aims to create a more social, meaningful, and powerful pedagogical experience. The game platform now hosts more than 50 million monthly active users and a public library of more than 20 million learning games, and it has been created and shared by fans in more than 180 countries.
The company revealed that the financing will be used to fund Kahoot!’s investment in product development and expansion of its commercial activities.
