Edge virtualization software company ZEDEDA secured $16 million in an oversubscribed Series A funding round co-led by Energize Ventures and Lux Capital. Existing investors participating in the round included Wild West Capital, Almaz Capital, Barton Capital, and industry veteran Ed Zander, former CEO of Motorola and former COO of Sun Microsystems.

As part of the funding, Wild West Capital founding partner Kevin DeNuccio, Energize Ventures principal Juan Muldoon, and Lux Capital partner Bilal Zuberi will join ZEDEDA’s board of directors.

The company plans to use the funds to scale ZEDEDA’s infrastructure, increase R&D, and expand sales, marketing, and customer success programs.
