Consumer review platform Trustpilot raised $55 million in a Series E equity investment round led by Sunley House Capital Management, an affiliate of global private equity firm Advent International. Existing shareholders Vitruvian Partners, Draper Esprit, Index Ventures, Northzone, and Seed Capital also participated in the round.
According to the company, Trustpilot has grown since its inception in 2007 as a freemium SaaS business model. The company now has 58 million reviews of 265,000 company domains from 150 countries. A leader in the UK, other European markets, and North America, Trustpilot claims it’s among the top 1% most visited websites worldwide with 3.5 billion online views each month.
Trustpilot plans to use the funds to invest in its technology platform, marketing, and employees.
