Niche, a leading service to help people choose schools and neighborhoods, has raised $6.6 million in Series B funding, led by Allen & Company LLC and Grit Capital Partners.
Niche combines insights with rigorous analysis of data to help users identify places that are the best fit for them. According to the company, more than 50 million users annually visit Niche for its rankings, report cards, profiles, and million ratings and reviews. Niche offers extensive information about 7,000 colleges, 130,000 K-12 schools, and 98,000 places to live across the country.
With its new financing, Niche plans to to expand its recruiting platform for K-12 schools and colleges and to continue building its market share. The company also announced that Paul Palmieri, general partner of Grit Capital Partners, has joined Niche’s board of directors.
