The intelligent fire camera SmokeD is designed to see smoke from a distance of 10 miles, detect wildfire in around five minutes, and send an alert directly to users’ phones. Each notification is sent to 3,000 mobile app users who verify the alerts and help the artificial intelligence “learn” about the area under the SmokeD camera surveillance.
