Transportation startup Netlift announced the completion of $3.2 million in financing. Four investors participated in the funding, among them Investissement Quebec, Fonds Innovexport, and Real Ventures.
Netlift aims to combine carpooling and public transportation to provide commuters an efficient and environmentally sustainable commute. Users can browse their matches and route details to request their match of choice, review his/her profile, ride history and community ratings, and chat directly with their ride partner via the in-app messaging center. Montreal will be the first city in which the new business model will be rolled out.
