Digital media technology company Intersection announced it has raised $150 million in financing, led by Graham Holdings. NewSpring Capital and ArrowMark Partners also participated.

Intersection’s flagship product, LINK, is a piece of modern street furniture that provides connectivity and digital services such as high-speed Wi-Fi, free phone calls, interactive tablet for local search, wayfinding, civic services, and commercial apps, as well as two 55” digital displays for advertising, community messaging, and real-time hyperlocal information.

Intersection will use the funding to bring the LINK product and other smart city technologies to cities and transit systems around the world, and to accelerate the digitization of its existing media asset network in U.S. designated market areas.
