DraftKings Takes First Step In Digital Streaming of Live Sports

DraftKings, Inc., announced it is “testing the waters” in the streaming of live sports through an expanded partnership with EuroLeague Basketball, allowing users to stream select Turkish Airlines EuroLeague basketball games through the DraftKings mobile app and toggle between its fantasy contests and live content.

The announcement, made at the Web Summit Conference in Lisbon, Portugal, comes on the heels of a series of other company achievements, including its expansion into five new countries and introduction of new Daily Fantasy Sport game variants.

“Our goal is to become the one-stop destination and mobile companion for sports fans globally. Adding a live streaming component allows us to provide the best and most seamless product for our customers. This is what the future of sports looks like,” said Jason Robins, co-founder and CEO of DraftKings.
