Cybersecurity Provider Adds New CFO and VP of Engineering

Bricata, Inc., a developer of network intrusion detection and prevention solutions, announced that Phil Salopek joined the company as its chief financial officer, while Orville Pike joined as its new vice president of engineering.

Salopek served as CFO at a number of publicly-traded and privately-held businesses, including Notable Solutions, BroadSoft, and AXENT Technologies. As CFO of AXENT, he was the financial steward during its $1 billion acquisition by Symantec at the height of the dot-com era.

Pike joins Bricata from KoolSpan, where he rose through the ranks to become VP of engineering. As their top engineer, he built and led the development of secure VoIP and messaging applications.
