Healthcare startup Cake announced it has secured $1.4 million in seed financing, led by Pillar, with participation from LaunchCapital, Honeycomb Portfolio, and Arkitekt Ventures.
Cake provides a digital platform for advance care planning and end-of-life planning. Cake’s online profiles store a user’s end-of-life preferences, which can then be shared with key people in their lives. According to the company, it is working with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Harvard Pilgrim, and Massachusetts General Hospital.
The round will be used for marketing and software development.
