Robotics startup Bossa Nova completed $17.5 million in Series B financing, led by Paxion Capital Partners. Intel Capital, WRV Capital, Lucas Venture Group, and Cota Capital also participated in the funding.
Bossa Nova seeks to help large stores run efficiently by automating the collection and analysis of on-shelf inventory data. The company’s robots drive autonomously through aisles, navigating among customers and store associates to perform a variety of tasks, including scanning shelves to help with restocking and keeping track of item locations.
The new funding will help Bossa Nova expand its engineering and commercial teams, as well as scale its services.
