Content monetization company StackCommerce announced that it has acquired digital media startup Joyus. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to TechCrunch, the acquisition is aimed at expanding StackCommerce’s advertising footprint in media targeting women and and increase its work with online video.

Joyus, founded in 2011, creates a new online shopping experience by harnessing the power of video. Each week, the company’s team of curators share apparel, beauty and lifestyle finds and show customers how to use them via videos. Each item is available for sale for a limited time through Joyus’ sales platform. Customers can also share videos with friends on Facebook and Twitter with just a click.

Joyus had raised $67 million in financing from investors including Accel Partners, Marker, Steamboat Ventures, InterWest Partners, and Time Warner Investments.
