IPONWEB, an industry leader in the development of first-party media trading systems and infrastructure, announced that Brian Fitzpatrick has been appointed general manager of its demand business unit.
In this role, Fitzpatrick will be responsible for defining and executing the global strategy for IPONWEB’s Demand Side platform business, which currently services DSPs, agencies, and brand advertisers across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
Fitzpatrick has been involved in digital media since 1995, having worked as one of the first media buyers at Mediacom London, before moving on to leadership roles at Game UK Ltd. and Lycos Europe. Prior to IPONWEB, he served as managing director for the European business of Adap.tv, where he oversaw the growth of agency, network and publisher partnerships and managed the transition following AOL’s acquisition in 2013. Fitzpatrick also served as European managing director of the Media Innovation Group at WPP, which became the first and largest agency trading desk and laid the groundwork for what eventually became Xaxis.
“Brian’s strong and tenured background in digital media and long history of servicing enterprise demand partners will accelerate IPONWEB’s ability to deliver on the increasingly complex challenges our clients face,” said Chief Executive Officer Boris Mouzykantskii. “He has a proven track record of pushing innovation in media and will play a pivotal role in enhancing our strategic vision and growth among agencies, advertisers, and DSPs globally.”
