Blue Apron Holdings, Inc. has announced that Lainie Cooney has joined the company as chief human resources officer.
Cooney joins Blue Apron with over 20 years of experience designing and executing human resource strategies. She most recently served as chief human resources officer at DPI Specialty Foods, a nationwide specialty food distributor with thousands of employees across eight distribution centers. From 2005 to 2012, she served as vice president of human resources at State Street Investment Management Services, and she was a human resources manager and Six Sigma Black Belt project leader at Home Depot from 2000 to 2005.
“I’m excited to welcome Lainie to Blue Apron and believe she will be an invaluable member of our team,” said Blue Apron CEO Matt Salzberg. “Lainie’s experience in food distribution and retail makes her an especially strong fit for our organizational structure, and her expertise will be essential as we continue to strengthen our processes, develop our people and culture, and align the company to achieve our business goals.”
Cooney graduated from Clark University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and received a Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology and Advanced Doctoral Studies from California School of Professional Psychology.
