Apple announced that it acquired New Zealand-based startup PowerbyProxi. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2007, PowerbyProxi is a leader in advanced, wireless power solutions and data solutions that solve mission-critical problems in demanding, hostile industrial environments for consumer electronics and industrial markets. Its proven implementations range from less than one watt to multiple kilowatts.
PowerbyProxi had previously raised $9 million from such investors as TE Connectivity.
