VR gaming startup TRIPP Secures $4 Million

Gaming startup TRIPP announced it has raised $4 million in Series A financing, led by Tim Chang of the Mayfield Fund. Chang is a longtime investor and champion of VR who has partnered with the founders of Playdom (acquired by Disney), Basis (acquired by Intel), and Moat (acquired by Oracle).

TRIPP is a stealth mode VR gaming developer that creates immersive, supercharged experience crafted to put users “in a different headspace.” Using visuals, sounds and targeted interactivity to create a state of calm, TRIPP takes players on journeys that can stimulate a number of different feelings and moods, enabling them to take a step back from their busy lives and, according to the company, enjoy sensory experiences unlike any other.

The company revealed that the funding round will allow the TRIPP team to begin creating digitally delivered transformative experiences.
