Text IQ announced today the appointment of Aaron Crews as general counsel and vice president of strategy. The company is building technology that uses advanced techniques to help companies win lawsuits and change the way law is practiced.
Crews joins Text IQ after three years at Walmart, where he was senior associate general counsel and global head of ediscovery. Before joining Walmart, Crews spent seven years with San Francisco-based law firm Littler Mendelson.
“We are delighted to welcome Aaron to Text IQ,” said Text IQ chief executive officer and co-founder Apoorv Agarwal. “Aaron brings a depth of experience gained from an impressive career that has included litigation and risk management. The experience, creativeness and leadership skills he brings are exactly the mix we need right now to continue the momentum Text IQ has built to date.”
Crews’ first assignment as general counsel will be to participate with top industry leaders from Fortune 100 companies at The Inevitable, Text IQ’s inaugural summit, focused on artificial intelligence’s ability to solve otherwise intractable problems.
