Social gaming startup Taunt announced the completion of $1.8 million in financing, led by Foundry Group, with participation from Pioneer Square Labs.
Taunt is a social competition platform for esports fans. It uses data and machine learning to create companion experiences for fans watching broadcasts. The company will officially launch at this month’s 2017 World Championship, which will be held in four different locations in China starting Sept. 23.
