Fiber ISP Pilot Fiber Raises $17 Million

Enterprise IT startup Pilot Fiber announced the completion of $17 million in financing. The round was led by Foundry Group.

Pilot Fiber, founded in 2014, is a fiber-optic Internet service provider (ISP) that delivers high quality, fast, and reliable office Internet service at competitive prices. The company claims that its service is 200 times faster than traditional ISPs. Its commitment to customers include  a 100% uptime guarantee, proactive network monitoring with notifications, and 15-minute response time. Pilot charges $500 a month for a 100 Mbps, $1,000 a month  for 1Gbps, and $2,500 a month for 10 Gbps, with no annual contracts required. The company has 90 employees and operates in four cities, with 1,000 U.S. offices currently using its Internet service.
