Ori, Inc., announced today that it has raised $6 million in Series A funding, led by Khosla Ventures.

Ori combines robotics, architecture and design to unlock a new concept of “programmable spaces” — one in which interior space intelligently and effortlessly adapts to us and our everyday activities. Its first family of systems, designed to transform the functionality and livability of small urban residential spaces, is available exclusively to real estate developers.

Ori systems can currently be found in selected modern apartment buildings located in 10 cities in the U.S. and Canada.

“Ori has the opportunity to change not only the dynamics of one of the largest global markets, but to define a new category within that market with a product that can dramatically improve the efficiency of living space and promote environmental sustainability,” said Vinod Khosla, founder of Khosla Ventures. “We are excited to be working with Ori to help build on their momentum.”
