Infostellar Secures $7.3 Million

Satellite technology startup Infostellar just closed $7.3 million in Series A financing. Airbus Ventures led the round, with participation from Sony Venture Capital, FreakOut, 500 Startups, WERU Investment and D4V.
Infostellar is a space communications infrastructure firm that is developing a cloud-based satellite antenna-sharing platform, StellarStation. By lowering costs and increasing transmission time, Infostellar aims to empower satellite operators to improve the quality of their service and expand potential business.
The company revealed it is conducting a limited beta with a handful of selected partners starting in October. The objective is to make it more widely available soon, with a wider launch in early 2018.
