Hitachi Data Systems Federal, Inc., a data solutions provider to the federal government, today announced the appointment of Mark A. Serway to the position of chief financial officer and vice president of operations.
In the role, Serway will oversee financial and business operations for HDS Federal, including corporate controllership, treasury, tax, IT and customer support services.
Prior to joining HDS Federal, Serway served as chief financial officer for Govplace, Inc., a government technology solutions provider. From 2008 to 2013, he served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at Akima, and earlier in his career he held progressively senior positions with Employment Enterprises, Paradigm Solutions, Lockheed Martin IT, Getronics Government Solutions, Babcock & Wilcox and Boeing Computer Services.
Serway earned his M.B.A. in finance from Averett University and a B.B.A. in management information systems from James Madison University.
