Pointy announced it has secured $6 million in Series A financing. Frontline Ventures led the round, with participation from Vulcan Capital and Draper Associates.
Pointy helps local stores bring their products online. A store owner simply plugs in the Pointy box, which links the store’s barcode scanner and POS or cash register. After that, the scanned products will appear on the user’s Pointy page automatically, with no data entry necessary. The company charges a one-time fee of $299, which includes delivery of the Pointy box, instant listing of products on Google, setup and ongoing technical support, and website hosting, updates and retailer reports.
