Creedon Technologies today announced the appointment of Philippe Tartavull as chair and director. Creedon Technologies is the parent company of Nixplay and Nixplay Signage, and it uses cloud storage, service technology and security to display photos in a sophisticated way that shows the power of sharing memories.

In his new role, Tartavull will use more than 20 years of industry experience to help Creedon Technologies expand its presence in the corporate signage industry, responding to rising demand for integrated, out-of-the-box digital signage solutions.

Tartavull comes to Creedon from digital communications service provider Xura, where he spent five years as president and chief executive officer. He has held several senior positions through his career, most notably as president and CEO of payment solutions provider Hypercom, as well as chair and director of MRV Communications; president and CEO of Oberthur Card Systems, North America; and president and CEO of Syseca, a Thales company.

“Philippe brings a strong track record in marketing and increasing sales of next-generation digital technology,” said Mark Palfreeman, CEO of Creedon Technologies. “His addition to the team is the first of many initiatives to propel the company into the digital signage and digital media space. Philippe is well-placed to help reinvent the industry with a simple solution, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses.”

Tartavull earned a master’s degree in business administration from the Institut d’Administration des Enterprises at the Sorbonne University in Paris. He is also a graduate of the executive program at UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.
