Rothys Raises $7 Million

Consumer startup Rothys announced it has raised $7 million in financing. Three investors participated in the round: Lightspeed Venture Partners, Finn Capital Partners, and Grace Beauty Capital.

Rothys is a fashion ecommerce company that sells women’s ballet and pointed toe flats. Rothys’ flats are made with an innovative 3D knitting process that uses fibers from 100 percent recycled plastic water bottles. The soft fiber becomes a breathable upper that does not lose shape and that wicks away moisture. The Rothys flats also feature carbon-free outsoles and recycled insoles and are completely washable and easy to dry using quick dry technology.
