Branch Messenger completed $6.8 million in Series A financing. Four investors contributed to the round: March Capital Partners, CrossCut Ventures, Techstars Ventures, and Matchstick Ventures.

Branch Messenger is a team collaboration platform for shift workers to communicate with  coworkers to trade or pick-up shifts, view schedules, receive reminders, view earnings, and access company information from anywhere. The application aims to reduce absenteeism, save time with team communication, and improve employee engagement.

The company revealed that Branch will use the funds to drive enterprise partnerships and expand its base of shift workers worldwide. The platform is currently being tested at more than one hundred Target (NYSE: TGT) stores, distribution centers, and call centers across the country.
