According to a recent SEC filing, Hooch has raised $4.5 million in financing from an undisclosed investor.

Hooch is a private cocktail society that has created, according to the company, the first-ever membership cocktail app. Members enjoy free drinks every day at more than 500 top bars and restaurants in cities around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Dallas, Austin, Hong Kong, and San Diego. The monthly membership fee is $9.99, which the company points out is less than the price of most cocktails. Hooch was a winner in the Anheuser-Busch / ZX Ventures SxSW startup competition, and it was hailed by magazine Marie Claire as the “Classpass for Booz.” The L.A. Times called it “The Best Deal in L.A..” Hooch launched exclusively in New York in November, 2015, on both iOS and Android and it is now operating in 10 markets.
