Indeed.com Acquires Job Assessment Tool Interviewed for Undisclosed Sum

The leading job searching site Indeed.com is acquiring software startup Interviewed. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

www.interviewed.com

aims to help HR managers take the guesswork out of hiring. Instead of relying on subjective resume screening or inconsistent interview practices, hiring managers use Interviewed’s job simulations to give candidates a day-in-the-life experience of the jobs they are applying for. Managers get to see candidates in action as they demonstrate their real-world skills. With customer service positions, for example, candidates talk to simulated customers on the phone while using a CRM to solve the customers’ problems. Interviewed’s software then evaluates the candidates in terms of speed and accuracy, verbal communication skills, emotional intelligence, and other qualities that presumably reflect their real-world job skills. Interviewed was founded in 2014 by Darren Nix, and the company had previously raised $2 million.
