Consumer startup Hubble Contacts announced it has secured $10 million in Series A financing. Six investors participated in the round, among them FirstMark Capital, Greycroft Partners, Founders Fund, Wildcat Capital Management, and Two River.

Hubble is the first brand of contact lenses sold directly to consumers through an ecommerce, subscription-only model. The company partners with St. Shine, an FDA-approved contact lens manufacturer that has more than twenty years of experience serving consumers. Hubble lenses are made from high-grade methafilcon A hydrogel material. With 55 percent water content, UV protection and a thin edge, they are designed for easy insertion and all-day comfort.

The company revealed that Hubble will use the funding to fuel the company’s international expansion.
