Gimlet Media Secures $15 Million

Digital media startup Gimlet Media announced the completion of $15 million in Series B financing. Stripes Group, Emerson Collective, Cross Culture Ventures, Betaworks, Graham Holdings, Refinery29, and Craftsy participated in the round.

Gimlet Media is a leading provider of high-quality narrative podcasts. The company is best known for its entrepreneurship podcast series StartUp, a show hosted by CEO and cofounder of Gimlet, Alex Blumberg. The podcast follows successful startup founders to delve into the experience of getting a new business off the ground. In 2015, Gimlet Media was named one of the top 10 most innovative media companies in the world by Fast Company.

The company revealed that Gimlet will use the new investment to fuel the company’s growth in four key areas: new programming, training and talent development, creative development, and expanding Gimlet’s IP development pipeline.
