Digital Media startup ART19 announced the close of $7.5 million in Series A financing. Six investors contributed to the round: Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, DCM Ventures, Zach Coelius Syndicate, United Talent Agency, Gallo Digital, and Array Ventures.
Art19 provides tools for hosting, distribution, and monetization of podcasts, bringing enhanced listening metrics and ad serving technologies to publishers and advertisers. Founded by software entrepreneur Sean Carr and podcast producer Matt Belknap, with input from top ad agencies, the platform aims to solve problems with ad targeting, ad replacement, and limited measurement.
According to the company, the new capital will enable Art19 greatly to accelerate product development and to continue supporting revenue growth.
