Enterprise IT startup Sendence announced the completion of $1.5 million in seed financing. Boldstart Ventures, Greycroft Partners, Contour Venture Partners, Notation Capital and Resolute Ventures participated in the funding.
Founded in 2015, Sendence provides a platform for building and running real-time applications that process large volumes of data regardless of infrastructure or scale. Distributed applications built with the company’s Wallaroo platform are “industrial-grade” and include auto-scaling, resilient state, exactly-once processing, and high-performance features.
The company revealed that it plans shortly to make its core technology open source. The team is hoping that a community builds around the open source project to help provide the product with traction as the company begins to market this year.
