Smartvid.io announced it has raised $7 million in Series A financing. Four investors contributed to the round: Borealis Ventures, Converge Venture Partners, Launchpad Venture Group, and Stage 1 Ventures.
Smartvid.io, Inc., is a Boston-based software company focused on solving the management, collaboration, search, and analysis challenges associated with industrial videos and photos. Its SmartTag engine uses machine learning to listen to (voice recognition) and watch (image recognition) videos and photos and automatically tags them according to defined terms. The platform aims to save significant time for teams, provide a better way to communicate with clients, tame the challenge of enterprise-wide media management, and provide a photo and video “insurance policy” that allows for easy retrieval of key imagery.
